Birth/Death Certificate

If you need a copy of a Birth or Death Certificate, please call the Health Registrar at (973) 956-1000, ext. 1008. The fee for copies is $25 for the first copy and $5 for each additional copy.

Marriage Certificate

Dog License

Dog owners residing in Totowa are required to obtain a license for their dog. This license must be renewed every January. You must fill out an application and returned it to the Records Department. For more information, please call (973) 956-1000 ext. 3702

Marriage License

Marriage Licenses can be obtained from the Board of Health Department. Please call the Board of Health Registrar to make an appointment for a marriage license at

(973) 956 - 1000, ext. 1008.

Garage Sale Permits

If you would like to have a garage sale, click here for an application. If you are not the property owner, you must include a letter from the landlord granting you permission.

The permit fee is $5 each for up to three consecutive days

Copies of accident reports can be obtained in the Records Department. Please contact Roe Carr at (973) 956 - 1000, ext. 3702.

Project Medicine Drop

The Borough has a safe and secure way to dispose of unused medication.

You can drop it off at the Police Department, 537 Totowa Road.
